How much does the consultation cost?+
The 30-minute consultation is $90 + 13% HST (CAD). If you decide to retain us afterward, we credit the full consultation fee toward your service fees - so effectively, engaged clients pay nothing extra for the initial call.
How do I pay for the consultation?+
In-office meetings: pay by card or cash on the day. Zoom / Google Meet / phone consultations: pay by Interac e-Transfer to clients@overseashaven.com before the call. A confirmation email follows once payment is received. HST No: 798873204 RT0001.
Do you work with clients outside Canada?+
Yes. Most of our clients are outside Canada when we take them on - primarily in India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and East Africa. Consultations happen over Zoom or WhatsApp video, and payment is by Interac e-Transfer.
How are service fees structured after the consultation?+
Flat-fee, milestone-based, disclosed in writing before any work begins. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices. Your paid consultation fee is credited toward the retainer. IRCC and third-party fees (biometrics, medicals, translations) are separate and estimated up front.
Can you help if my visa was already refused?+
Often, yes. Refusals for study permits, visitor visas, and PR applications are usually appealable, reconsiderable, or eligible for reapplication with new evidence. Send us the refusal letter on the consultation and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
How do I verify you're a real licensed consultant?+
Akash Dutta is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, Licence No. R708059, regulated by the CICC (formerly ICCRC). Every RCIC is publicly listed on the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants register at college-ic.ca.
How quickly will I hear back after submitting the form?+
Within one business day, usually much sooner during Toronto business hours (10:30 AM – 6:30 PM ET, Monday to Saturday).
